Greek National Day

Happy Greek National Day! We thank all those who are celebrating Greek National Day with us. It is an incredibly important and proud event in our heritage commemorating the day the revolution began in 1821 to liberate Greece from the Ottoman Empire (Turkish Occupation). Did you know that the Evzone's Foustanella is made from over 30 metres of fabric and features 400 pleats to represent the liberation of Greece after 400 years of slavery under the Ottoman Empire.

Also, we would like all of our students to attend Church on Sunday, 25 May. That day commemorates the beginning of the Greek War of Independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1821.
